Steve
This August, Steve will celebrate six years with Compassionate Caregivers, and in that time, he has become an integral part of our team. His journey into caregiving was driven by his natural ability to bring joy to others—a gift his family encouraged him to nurture after seeing his dedication to caring for his grandmother. For Steve, the most rewarding part of caregiving is the smiles he brings to his clients. Whether he’s fixing something around the house, adjusting his schedule to better accommodate
their needs, or assisting with glasses and hearing aids—helping them see their favorite shows more clearly and rejoin conversations they once missed—his impact is deeply felt. What makes Compassionate Caregivers special to Steve? The unwavering support of an incredible team and leadership that ensures help is always just a phone call away. And when he’s not making a difference in someone’s life, you might find him enjoying his favorite ice cream—S’mores!
Driver Spotlight
Wellington
For the past two years, Wellington “Junior” has been a dedicated ambulette driver for Compassionate Care Transportation. After retiring in 2017, he found a new purpose in helping seniors—an inspiration that came from caring for his own father, who lived to be 96.
“Once taking care of my father full-time, I realized how much I enjoyed assisting senior citizens,” Junior shares. “He needed a lot of help getting to appointments, and I saw firsthand how important transportation is for their well-being.”
Junior loves the connections he makes with his passengers. “Talking to them is the best part—they have fantastic stories to tell.” He also takes pride in the extra care Compassionate Care Transportation provides. “We treat every customer like family, keep our vans spotless, and even carry a home-ramp to make wheelchair access easier from door to door.”
When he’s not helping our clients, you can find Junior enjoying fishing, or working on his cars. Junior’s kindness and dedication embody what makes Compassionate Care Transportation truly special.
