Compassionate Caregivers Difference

Compassionate Caregivers Home Care is a Clinician owned and operated Non-Medical Home Care along with Skilled nursing services and 24/7 clinical oversight. It is not a franchise, but a family owned and operated business that allows the older adult client the dignity of aging with grace. We take the STRESS out of Caregiving.

About Us

The founder, Debbie DeLuca-Ely RN graduated in 1985 with a Degree in Nursing and in 2004 received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration. She has been a clinician for over 33 years with the past 30 years spent in the Homecare industry in various positions as a Clinician, Home Health Care owner and Business Developer and Patient Advocate.

As a Registered Nurse she has cared for hundreds of older adults in their homes and first hand understands the importance of offering exceptional care through clinical oversight and follow through. As a mother of three adult children and three grandchildren her love of family has driven her to share her past experiences in developing a homecare that is sensitive to the caregivers of aging parents and the aging client themselves.

As a child she watched her mom care for her grandmother in the home. She remembers the stress her mother experienced trying to find good help. She recalls her mother wanting the best care for her grandmother and with that there was a dear price to pay. Her mother was always exhausted and worn out. As an adult she personally experienced as the caregiver of an aging parent the stress and time required to do all the additional things necessary to juggle all the roles needed in caring for a loved one.

In deciding to start a Home Care she did not want to be held solely to what a franchise offered but wanted to have a homecare modeled after a medical model. Higher standards of care, greater care oversight and the ability to bring in ancillary disciplines if the client required additional services that were needed.

In today’s society, there are many nonmedical franchises. Many are very good, few if any are owned by a clinician. They are business and they do not require you to have any medical education, medical training or background. As a matter of fact, she was told by one of the larger well known franchise owners that when she asked if a LPN or RN did the initial care assessment in her company, the franchise owner proudly smiled and said “I play nurse, the family doesn’t know.”

At Compassionate Caregivers Home Care our Exceptional Care is because we are Clinicians and take pride in the development, follow through and oversight of individualized care plans for your loved one. Our employees are bonded and insured and treated as family and treat your loved one as a family member. Each team member receives ongoing training and are valued and appreciated.
