EMPLOYMENT

Our COMPASSIONATE CAREGIVER®, is an employee who is carefully screened by our owner before caring for a client and trained by a Clinician. Each caregiver must undergo a National and Local criminal background checks, DMV, and personal and professional reference checks as well as a third party consumer reporting agency background check through CHECKR. All COMPASSIONATE CAREGIVERS® are bonded, insured, and covered by Workers’ Compensation insurance for our clients’ peace-of-mind. We desire to hire the very best caregivers to become a COMPASSIONATE CAREGIVERS®. The vast majority of our caregivers have at least one year of experience and most of our caregivers have advanced training. We match caregivers to you and your family based on the skills needed and personality traits necessary for a good relationship.

HOME SAFETY EVALUATION

Each year, thousands of older Americans fall at home. Many of them are seriously injured, and some are disabled. In 2002, more than 12,800 people over age 65 died and 1.6 million were treated in emergency departments because of falls. Falls are often due to hazards that are easy to overlook but easy to fix. This checklist will help you find and fix those hazards in your home. A home safety assessment is an evaluation of your home to identify and eliminate potential hazards. Compassionate Caregivers will provide a free Home Safety Evaluation by a qualified clinician. The home safety assessment may also include home improvement recommendations to help you navigate your environment more securely, such as installing handrails in the bathroom or making sure your house has adequate lighting An elderly home safety assessment can be an important preventive measure, especially because falls are one of the most common sources of injury among seniors. According to the National Council on Aging, one in four Americans age 65 and older falls every year, and falls are the number one cause of injury-related death for older adults.

We take pride in the delivery of our care as a Clinician owned and operated agency. Our standards, client oversight and staff training are those of a Medicare Skilled Home Health certified agency. Our staff is trained to handle each client’s specific needs. All of your loved one’s assessments are performed by trained licensed nursing professionals, this allows for individualized care plans. Unlike other agencies, our care plans are reviewed monthly in care conferences and when there is a reported change in your loved one’s condition. ONLY the highest standard of care is acceptable.
