Health Care Agencies requires a Doctors order to perform skilled care and can be offered by agencies Certified by Medicare and Medicaid. Care is overseen and delivered by licensed professionals such as Nurses, Physical therapists, Occupational therapists, Speech therapists and Social workers. This type of care is covered by Medicare, Medicaid and Insurance. Home Care Agencies are not certified under Medicare and depending on the state, may or may not require licensing. A Doctors order is Not necessary to perform care. The care being provided is that of a nonskilled professional such as a Companion, Personal Care Assistant or Homemaker. The agency may or may not provide the care oversight by a licensed professional. Skilled Nursing services may or may not be offered. This care is not covered under Medicare. Payment for this care is usually private pay. Some agencies accept Long term care insurance and Medicaid waiver and VA payments. At COMPASSIONATE CAREGIVERS®, because we are Nurses, we offer you the assurance of knowing that your Loved One’s care is overseen 24/7, 365 days a year by NURSES!

COMPASSIONATE CAREGIVERS® is unique in that it is structured as a non-medical homecare but is owned and operated by a clinician. The care oversight is that of a licensed professional making it care standards higher than that of a nonprofessionally run franchise or agency. Our nurses are trained instructors in Delay the Disease™ and our staff is specially trained in caring for clients with movement disorders. We offer the same services that our competitors do except we RAISE YOUR EXPECTATIONS BY operating an agency with higher standards of care and oversight for your loved one. Services include: Skilled Nursing Services, Medication Management, Care Management, Companions, Homemakers, 24 HR Live-in “Assisted Living at Home” Caregivers, Enrichment Care Aide, Travel companions and Caregivers trained to meet and assist you with Post Hospital or Rehab Care and many Specialized Disease programs.

Our COMPASSIONATE CAREGIVER®, is an employee who is carefully screened by our owner before caring for a client and trained by a Clinician. Each caregiver must undergo a National and Local criminal background checks, DMV, and personal and professional reference checks as well as a third-party consumer reporting agency background check through CHECKR. All COMPASSIONATE CAREGIVERS® are bonded, insured, and covered by Workers’ Compensation insurance for our clients’ peace-of-mind. We desire to hire the very best caregivers to become a COMPASSIONATE CAREGIVERS®. The majority of our caregivers have at least one year of experience and most of our caregivers have advanced training. We match caregivers to you and your family based on the skills needed and personality traits necessary for a good relationship.

We are open Monday – Friday 9:00am-5pm with a Clinician and staff member on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to assist you with your homecare needs. We are here for you when you need us most. Weekend, Holiday and evening admissions too!

Yes. COMPASSIONATE CAREGIVERS® can provide nursing, companionship or personal care to those still at the Hospital, Assisted Living communities and Nursing Homes who may desire additional attention or personalized care.

A COMPASSIONATE CAREGIVER® our Clinician along with your family and loved one develops an individualized and completely confidential Plan of Care for each client. Monthly Care Conferences are done with the staff. At admission, our team and your family design an individualized Care Plan and conference schedule which can be adjusted as needed. The Care Plan review is an important process to ensure the client is receiving the appropriate level of care and is pleased with the staff member providing the care. Will I have the same Compassionate Caregiver and how will I meet my caregiver? During the initial conversation and the in-home visit, the Clinician will document the services required and the client’s preferences for a COMPASSIONATE CAREGIVER match. Then, the Clinician and Coordinator selects the best caregiver fit for the client. They arrange an introduction between the client, COMPASSIONATE CAREGIVERS® , and Coordinator to introduce each member of your team. During that meeting, all of the involved parties review the Plan of Care to ensure that everyone agrees and understands what services are to be provided.

Each COMPASSIONATE CAREGIVERS® office employs a team of caregivers so that your care service will not be interrupted if someone gets sick or goes on vacation. If your COMPASSIONATE CAREGIVER is unavailable, the Life Enhancement Coordinator will arrange another caregiver and will contact you in advance of the change. The Life Enhancement Coordinator will also introduce the interim caregiver to you and review your Plan of Care with the interim caregiver prior to service. Our goal is to ensure that services are provided as expected. Your safety and security are a top priority.

Difference between Activities of Daily Living and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living ADLs, are often mentioned by geriatric care professionals in connection with instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), which are more complex skills needed to successfully live independently. Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) include the basic tasks essential for day-to-day functioning, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, mobility and toileting. Many seniors who require help with such activities are largely independent, but may require help with one or two ADLs. In some cases, intermittent help from a family member or friend may be all that is needed. However, in many cases, particularly when family or friends are unavailable and the importance of scheduling these activities is critical, informal care arrangements may not be adequate. Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) are considered those activities which are less basic than the traditional ADLs. IADLs, nevertheless, are important in enhancing a client’s quality of life. IADLs include such activities as shopping, paying bills, cleaning, doing the laundry and meal preparation. Many seniors require assistance with IADLs rather than ADLs. Some seniors want someone to escort them when they are shopping and help them avoid situations that might cause them to fall. Other seniors may welcome assistance with their bill paying and medical appointments. COMPASSIONATE CAREGIVERS® offers an array of companionship and homemaking services to assist our clients with the IADLs.

We will design a care plan specific to your loved ones needs. Depending on your need our rates start as low as $13.00/HR.

Is there a Minimum number of hours required?

We have a minimum of 6 hours visit.

Yes, in many instances, however it depends upon your Long term insurance policy whether or not the services needed are covered. Unfortunately, policies are not a one size fits all. We will gladly help you with facilitating reimbursement from your insurance company.

Yes you can, we ask that you please call the office and cancel 4 hours before your scheduled visit.
